Hyderabad crashed to an innings and 68 runs loss to Saurashtra with two days to spare in their Cooch Behar Trophy match at the Niranjan Shah Stadium Ground C in Rajkot on Wednesday.
Replying to Hyderabad’s modest 116, Saurashtra had gone no to made 284 with Jay Ravaliya scoring an unbeaten 112. His knock was studded with 12 fours and a six. Mohit Ulva chipped in with a useful 51. Wafi Kachchi was Hyderabad’s most successful bowler with a seven for 85 haul.
Hyderabad fared even worse in their second essay. The side was bundled out for 100 in 33 overs with VVS Sarvajit making a topscore of 34. Devarsh took five for 43 to do the damage.
Saurashtra were richer with seven points, while Hyderabad had to be content with nothing.
Hyderabad have won only one of their five matches and finished Elite Group E, at the fifth position with nine points.

Hyderabad girls win by three-wickets over Chandigarh
While the boys fared poorly, the Hyderabad U-19 girls won their BCCI Women’s U-19 One-day Trophy match against Chandigarh in Lucknow. After restricting Chandigarh to a modest 97 for six, Hyderabad replied with 98 for seven.

Karnataka, Punjab and Madhya Pradesh post victories
Karnataka romped to a thumping nine-wicket victory over Bihar at the NFC ground in Hyderabad. Electing to bat, Bihar could manage only 117 on the board with Veda Varshini bagging three for 17. In reply, Karnataka openers Rachitha Hatwar (59no) and Liyanka Shetty (56) struck half-centuries to help their side cruise to victory.
At the Gymkhana, Punjab romped to an eight-wicket victory over Vidarbha. Batting first, Vidarbha made a competitive 241 for eight with Arya P making a topscore of 73 and Nimisha K scoring an unbeaten 67. Surbhi took five for 30 for Punjab.
In reply, Punjab made 243 for two as Divya scored an unbeaten 90-ball 92 with 14 hits to the fence. Panmeet Kaur remained unbeaten on 52 and Harsimranjit made 83.
Madhya Pradesh scored a 42-run win over Chhattisgarh at the RGIC Stadium in Uppal. Rishika Jain made an unbeaten 50 in Madhya Pradesh’s 189 for nine. In reply, Chhattisgarh could manage only 147 with Akanksha Rani scoring 40 of those.
