40-member Rangareddy squad selected for state-level powerlifting championship
A 40-member squad has been selected from the combined Rangareddy district for the WPC Telangana powerlifting championship.
Rangareddy district championship was held at the BRS Kingdom Fitness Center in Bowrampet from which the team was selected. In various categories, 40 lifters won medals and qualified for the state championship.
S Tapasya (44 kg), N Dharani (52 kg), M S Kritika (56 kg), N Deeksha (75 kg), B Shyamala (60 kg), K Priyanka (67.5 kg), K Hemalatha (75 kg), Prasanna Lakshmi (82.5 kg) won gold medals in the women’s category. In the men’s category, Sai Harshit (52 kg), Maniteja (56 kg), Manith (67.5 kg), Prashanth (75 kg), Akhilesh Kumar (90 kg), and Vamsi Krishna (100 kg) won gold medals.

Chief guest B Narasimha presented a cash prize of Rs 20,000 to Strong Woman title winner S Tapasya and Strong Man title winner S Sai Teja.
