Shaikh Sadique’s all-round performance powered Nanded Veterans to a resounding seven wicket win over Prestine Veterans in the Sun 40+ Masters Premier League at the SN Cricket Ground in Aziz Nagar, Hyderabad.
Batting first, Prestine Veterans failed to make it count against the Nanded Veterans’ attack. The Nanded Veterans bowlers kept their rivals in total check and did not allow them any room to break free from the shackles. P Bala Krishna made a fighting 44 off 22 balls and Jana scored a 32-ball 34 but still they could only make 129 for nine in their allotted 20 overs.
Shaikh Matin was the wrecker-in-chief as he claimed three for 30 in his four overs and Shaikh Sadique took two for 22 in three overs, one of which as a maiden.

In reply, Nanded Veterans cruised to victory as they did not face much of a challenge from the Prestine Veterans bowlers. Nandeed Veterans reached 132 while losing three wickets in 12.2 overs. There was plenty of overs to spare as they romped home. Zabi topscored with a 29-ball 38 and Shaikh Sadique made 27 off 12 balls to win the Man of the Match award.
Sai Chander and Ravi Kumar powered Hyderabad Legends to an emphatic nine-wicket win over Kakatiyans in the Gold Cup final, which turned out to be a totally one-sided affair. Hyderabad Legends were too good for their rivals in all departments of the game and cruised to the title without much ado.

Batting first, Kakatiyans were all at sea against the Hyderabad Legends attack, led by Sai Chander. Kakatiyans huffed and puffed their way to a below par 106 in their allotted overs with Vijay Naidu making 43 of those runs off 34 balls. The other batters failed to get going.
Sai Chander finished with figures of 4-0-20-5. An incredible feat considering it was a final.
In reply, Hyderabad Legends were in a hurry to finish the game as soon as possible and relish the thrill of emerging champions. They scored 108 for one in just 6.5 overs with Ravi Kumar hammering a 24-ball 75. Sai Chander won the Man of the Match award for his brilliant bowling effort.
