Chetan missed out on what would have been a brilliant century but his knock powered Pune Braveheart Veterans to a thumping seven-wicket victory over Blues Veterans CC in the Sun 40+ Masters Premier League at SR cricket ground in Aziz Nagar, Hyderabad, on Saturday.
On a long holiday weekend, Chetan entertained the crowd with his scintillating batting. He scored a 50-ball 94 to steer Pune Braveheart Veterans to 160 for three in 17.2 overs.
Earlier, Blues Veterans made 159 for eight with Srinath topscoring with 42 off 32 balls. He was supported by Aritra, who made a 33-ball 38, and Jameel, who scored an 18-ball 30. Jay Dhole took three for 28 for Bravehearts.
Damodar Reddy shines for Legends
Damodar Reddy and Shashi set up Hyderabad Legends 73-run win over Hyderabad Royals.
Batting first, Hyderabad Legends ran up a competitive 200 for four thanks to Damodar Reddy’s 39-ball 70 and Shashi’s 27-ball 52. The duo flayed the Royals’ attack to put the side in the driver’s seat.
In reply, Hyderabad Royals were bowled out for 127 with only Sreedhar contributing a 22-ball 39. The rest were not even in the frame to make a fight of the game.

Md Faheem and Sheikh star in Nanded win
Md Faheem and Sheikh helped Nanded Veterans carve out a two-wicket victory over Kakatiya Veterans in what turned out to be a closely fought encounter.
Faheem bagged four for 25 as Kakatiya were restricted to a modest 153 for nine despite Imran Khan hammering a 40-ball 72. The rest of the batters failed to encash on Imran’s knock.
In reply, Sheikh scored a 24-ball 55 to help Nanded Veterans reach 156 for eight in 19.1 overs. Farooq took three for 28 to take the game deep.
Giridhar powers Prestine home
Giridhar struck a half-century to help Prestine Veterans score a thumping nine-wicket victory over Columbia Masters.
Batting first, Columbia Masters were restricted to a below par 102 for nine with Parimal Reddy doing the most damge. He took three for eight as Columbia Masters batters had no answer against him.
In reply, Prestine Veterans had no problems in reaching the target. Prestine made 103 for one in just 10.5 overs. Giridhar struck a 27-ball 58 to make it easy for his team.
