Akhileshwar, who has been in tremendous form in the inter-school tournament, slammed a century to help Team B reach 322 for eight against Team D in the HCA’s Under-14 probables matches.
Replying to Team D’s 330 for four, Team B made a spirited charge with Akhileshwar struck 121 off 155 balls with 20 hits to the fence. Ruhaan Verma made 61.
In another match, B Gowtham Reddy made an unbeaten century to help Team I take the lead against Team G. Replying to Team G’s modest 233, Team I made 271 for seven with Gowtham Reddy scoring 119 off 227 balls with 22 fours. Ch Ritesh Reddy made 60. S Harsha Vardhan Goud took four for 54.
Elsewhere, K Abhinav Kumar bagged five for 28 to help Team E bowl out Team A for 171.
T Umesh bagged five for 56 as Team J were bundled out for 183. Earlier, Team F had made 420 for seven.
