Andhra Pradesh chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu congratulated all the athletes who brought glory to Andhra Pradesh through their outstanding performance at the recent Asian Games in Japan.

The Asian Games medallists paid a courtesy call on the chief minister at the state secretariat in Amaravati on Wednesday.

During the meeting, the chief minister lauded the athletes for the medals they won and their exceptional performances. Appreciating their talent in bringing honor to the nation on international platforms, he expressed hope that they would achieve further success and excel globally in the future.

Asian Games medallists meet CM Chandrababu Naidu

The athletes who met chief minister Chandrababu included Sri Charani, Ganesh Maniratnam, Dhiraj Bommadevara, and Vennam Jyothi Surekha.

Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) MD Bharani informed the chief minister that athletes from the state had secured a total of eight medals, which comprised three gold, two silver, and three bronze, across three different sporting disciplines.

The chief minister stated that the government would provide full encouragement and the necessary infrastructure to ensure that more athletes from the state win medals at the international level in the future.
