Harsh scores a century, Sai Charan misses it by five runs; Kasyap and Shaurya shine

Harsh Gandra scored a century, while K Sai Charan missed out on it by five runs as Team I took a vice-like grip in their game against Team L in the HCA Under-16 boys two-day selection match in Hyderabad on Saturday.

Replying to Team L’s modest 82, Team I went on to make 348 with Harsh Gandra scoring 152 off just 119 balls with 22 fours and six sixes. K Sai Charan fell for 95, while Virat Kasyap bagged five for 50 for Team L.

Anirudh Naik hammers double century; Harsh, Rehmath, Varun, Pranav and Arush shine 

Shaurya Singh took five for 28 to bowl out Team D for 178. Earlier, Team A had made a huge 368.

Brief scores: Team H 197 in 47.3 overs vs Team E 167 in 61.2 overs (AC Ashish Kumar 3/27, N Sri Harsha 4/41).

Team L 82 in 31.2 overs vs Team I 348 in 82 overs (Harsh Gandra 152, K Sai Charan 95, Virat Kasyap 5/50).

Team B 356 in 83.4 overs vs Team C 114 in 38.2 overs (Malim Arhan 39, Shazeb Khan 30, Ruhan Verma 4/19, Arush Ainchwar 3/25).

Team A 368 in 79.2 overs vs Team D 178 in 52 overs (G Varun 55, Shaurya Singh 5/28).

Vinay grabs five, Shravan four in Mahesh win

KV Vinay Kiran set up Mahesh’s seven-wicket win over Sacred Heart in the C Division one-day league championship.

Batting first, Sacred Heart were skittled out for a lowly 96 with Vinay Kiran taking five for 38 and Shravan Naidu claiming four for 23. In reply, Mahesh made 97 for three with Shekar Addanki scoring 50.

Brief scores: Sacred Heart 96 in 21.3 overs (KV Vinay Kiran 5/38, Shravan Naidu 4/23) lost to Mahesh 97/3 in 10 overs (Shekar Addanki 50).

Aniketh Reddy puts Hyderabad on top

G Aniketh Reddy’s all-round show helped Hyderabad take a 211-run first innings lead against the visiting Kerala side.

Aniketh Reddy scored an unbeaten 63 to help Hyderabad reach 386. In reply, Kerala were bowled out for 175 as Aniketh took four for 36.

In their second innings, Hyderabad were 57 for three with M Abhirath Reddy batting on 34.
