K Nidhi to lead Hyderabad in the BCCI Under-19 T20 Trophy, Kavya named vice-captain

Wicketkeeper K Nidhi will lead the Hyderabad Under19 women’s team in the BCCI Women’s Under-19 T20 Trophy Elite 2026-27 matches to be held at Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala from October 9.

The HCA selectors named G Kavya Sree as the vice-captain of the 15-member squad. The selectors have also named five stand byes.

KDCA lauds Akshaya Reddy on her selection

The Karimnagar District Cricket Association on Thursday congratulated P Akshaya Reddy on her selection to the 15-member HCA state squad for BCCI tournaments.

Akshaya was selected at the HCA trials recently held at the VJR Memorial Cricket Ground, Karimnagar. She went on to play in the first round of competitions among 20 teams in Hyderabad. On the strength of her all-round performance in the preliminary rounds, she was chosen to captain one of the eight teams in the Super 8 round. Her brilliant all-round performances there earned her a place in the state squad.

Akshaya’s progress through each stage is a proud moment for Karimnagar and an inspiration to young cricketers across the district. KDCA congratulates her and wishes her every success in the BCCI tournaments, says the KDCA.
