Hyderabad Globe Football Club scored a hard-fought 1-0 win over Hyderabad Sporting thanks to Syed Imtiaz Ahmed to lay their hands on the CCOB Cup, an Under-21 Football Championship Organized by CCOB Football Association at Quli Qutub Shah Stadium in Hyderabad.
In a tough final, Hyderabad Globe managed to pip Hyderabad Sporting Club with a solitary strike by Syed Imtiaz Ahmed in the 55th minute of play. Before that neither team was able to score as the defenders stood tall.
In the semifinals, Hyderabad Globe got the better of hosts CCOB in another hard-fought match. The all-important goal was struck by Saifullah in the dying minutes of the game.
In the other semifinal, Hyderabad Sporting Club defeated Abbas Union Football Club in the tie-breaker after both sides were locked 1-1 at regulation time.
In the quarterfinal, Hyderabad Globe FC had defeated Saidabad Football Club 5-0. Faizan Ahmed scored two goals, while Sham, Saifullah and Omer Farooq got one goal each.
