Tony FC take on Pro Kicks, St Patrick’s clash with Game Point in semis of Jaya Rao football

Tony Football Club will take on Pro Kicks in the first semifinal and St Patrick’s will lock horns with Game Point in the second semifinal of the 13th Jaya Rao Memorial Inter-schools/ Academy/ Clubs Football Tournament.

In the league phase, Tony Football Club scored a convincing 2-0 win over VVNC with Ronitha and Kaushik scoring for the winners.

In the other match from the same group, Game Point defeated VVNC 1-0 with Rohan scoring for his team.

In the other group, St Patrick’s defeated Don Bosco 1-0 with Roshan scoring with a long ranger. Pro Kicks too recorded a 1-0 win over Bolarum.

Earlier the tournament was inaugurated by former Indian football team captain Victor Amal Raj.

The tournament is being conducted by former students at Valerian Grammar School (Bolarum) in memory of their school PET who was instrumental in shaping many national players. Around 140 players participated in the League matches.

Results: Group A: Tony FC 2 (Ronitha, Koushik) beat VVNC 0. Game Point 1 (Rohan) beat VVNC 0.

Group B: St Patrick’s 1 (Roshan) beat Do Bosco 0. Pro Kicks 1 beat Bolarum 0

Final placings: Group A: Tony FC (Trimulgherry) 7 points, Game Point (Kukatpally) 5, VVNC 5, Gopal Brothers did not turn up.

Group B: St Patrick’s (Secunderabad) 7 points, Pro Kick (Kowkoor, Bolarum) 5 points, Bolarum 3 points, Don Bosco 1 point.
