Faiz Ahmed, Advaith hit centuries as bowlers dominate show in HCA C Division league

M Faiz Ahmed and Advaith V were the two centurions in the HCA’s C Division (one-day) league as bowlers ruled the roost on Friday.

M Faiz Ahmed made a quickfire century to power Southern Stars to a seven-wicket win over Chums XI.

Akshaj G

Batting first, Chums XI were bowled out for171 and Southern Stars replied with 172 for three as Faiz Ahmed scored 137 off 77 balls with 15 fours and eight sixes.

M Trishul

Advaith V was the other centurion of the day. He scored 101 off 126 balls with 17 fours and a six as Golconda scored 162. In reply, Vijayanand made 163 for nine to post a seven-wicket win.

M Trishul led the bowlers’ parade with a six for four haul (5.2-3-4-6) which helped HCA Dist-1 score an 80-run win over Rushiraj. Shreyas M took five for 14 for the losers.
