SATG MD Sonibala Devi felicitates shooter Dhanush Srikanth on getting Arjuna Award

Sports Authority of Telangana (SATG) MD Dr A Sonibala Devi on Saturday felicitated Telangana shooter Dhanush Srikanth, who was honoured with the prestigious Arjuna Award.

Speaking on the occasion, Dhanush Srikanth expressed his gratitude to the Telangana sports department for its constant encouragement and support.

Sports Authority of Telangana officials congratulated him on receiving the Arjuna Award.  Administrative officer Anitha, deputy directors Raviteja, Ravinder and Srinivas, PRO Suresh Kaleru along with other officials, participated in the programme.

SATG DD Ashok Kumar trains in sports science

Sports Authority of Telangana deputy director Gugulothu Ashok Kumar underwent specialized training in sports science as part of a Central Government-sponsored programme held at the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Warangal.

 The week-long short-term training programme on “Emerging Trends and Multidisciplinary Approaches in Physical Education and Sports Sciences” was conducted from August 17 to 22 at NIT Warangal. Around 40 sports and physical education professionals from different parts of the country participated in the programme.

The training focused on the growing importance and application of sports science in the modern sporting arena, emerging trends in physical education, scientific approaches to sports training, and multidisciplinary methods for improving sports performance.

During the valedictory programme, Professor Ravi Kumar of the Department of Physical Education, NIT Warangal, presented a certificate of appreciation to Ashok Kumar for successfully completing the training programme.

On the occasion, SATG MD Soni Baladevi, along with fellow officials, staff members and coaches, congratulated Ashok Kumar on his successful participation in the specialised Sports Science training programme.
