Ranga Reddy swimmers Ashwath and Vedha hog the limelight at inter-district meet
Ashwath Ayyalasomayajula of Ranga Reddy district delivered a remarkable performance as he swam with confidence, determination, and aggression from the start. Displaying exceptional race strategy and powerful strokes, he outpaced his competitors to secure a well-deserved gold medal in the 100m butterfly event of the 11th Sub-Junior & Junior Inter District Swimming Championship 2026 at the GMC Balayogi Stadium in Gachibowli, Hyderabad, on Sunday.

Ranga Reddy swimmer Vedha Ashritha Gottumukkala also produced an outstanding performance, taking control of the race with fearless and aggressive swimming. Her speed, endurance, and unwavering focus enabled her to stay ahead of the competition and finish on top of the podium, earning a gold medal with a dominant display in the 50m butterfly event.
