Vritti Agarwal and Mittapalli Rithvika bag silver medals at 79th Sr Natl Aquatics Championship
Vritti Agarwal and Mittapalli Rithvika won silver medals in the women’s 1500m freestyle and women’s 50m breaststroke events respectively at the 79th Senior National Aquatics Championships 2026 in Ahmedabad.
In the women’s 1500m freestyle, Maharashtra’s Aditi Satish Hegde won the event by clocking 17:20.82 seconds. Vritti Agarwal came in second with a timing of 17:22.17 seconds, while Karnataka’s Sri Charani Tumu took the third spot with 17:49.09 seconds.
Mittapalli Rithvika
Lineysha AK of Karnataka won the title in the 50m breaststroke event by stopping the clock at 33.51 seconds. Mittapalli Rithvika took the second spot with a timing of 33.63 seconds. S Lakshya made it 1-3 for Karnataka by bagging the bronze in a time of 33.84 seconds.
