Taekwondo Premier League to feature 6 teams and 30 players, jersey launch event in Hyd

The jersey launch of Season-2 of the Taekwondo Premier League (TPL), which is emerging as a major platform for the development of Taekwondo in India, was held in a grand manner in Hyderabad. Franchise owners, players, and organizers of all six teams participated in the event where the details about the upcoming league was shared.

The league will be conducted over three days next month, featuring teams including Telangana Risers, Maharashtra Avengers, Delhi Warriors, Gujarat Thunders, North East Heroes, and Bengal Tigers. Competitions will be held in the men’s 62-69 kg category and the women’s 52-55.5 kg category. Each team will consist of three male and two female athletes.

Organizers stated that players who showcase exceptional talent in the league will get an opportunity to represent India in the World Taekwondo Premier League. TPL founders Duvvuri Ganesh, co-founders Navaneeth and Venkat, along with Korean Grand Master Jun Lee, attended the jersey launch event.
