The Telangana Swimming Association, under the aegis of the Sports Authority of Telangana, organized a Water Safety and Lifeguard Training Course from May 1 to 3 at the Gachibowli Aquatic Centre.
The course featured comprehensive training sessions, including multiple practical water-based exercises, along with instruction in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), BLS (Basic Life Support), first aid, and essential lifesaving techniques by AIG Hospitals. The program was designed to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to respond effectively in emergency situations.

The primary aim of the course was to promote awareness about water safety, lifesaving practices, and the importance of preparedness in aquatic environments.
At the conclusion of the program, both theoretical and practical examinations were conducted to assess and certify the participants.
The event was successfully conducted, receiving positive participation and support from all involved.
The final day event was graced by Kannam Madhu, administrator, Gachibowli Stadium, Chandrashekar Reddy, president of the Telangana Swimming Association, G Umesh, secretary of Telangana Swimming Association, and course director Sundaresh Satyanarayana.
