Murali was unlucky to miss out on a century but his effort along with Saketh’s four-wicket haul helped Tarakarama post a 97-run victory over St Andrews in the HCA C Division One-day League Championship in Hyderabad.
Batting first, Tarakarama ran up 310 for nine thanks to Murali’s 96. Saketh scored an unbeaten 38 and Bhargav contributed 37 to the total. B Shreyaan and Karthik Tiwari took three wickets apiece.
In reply, St Andrews were bowled out for 213 despite Sita Ram scoring 80. Saketh took four for 48 to help his side take full points from the game.
In another match, Aryan Patel and H Krishna struck unbeaten half-centuries to power MP Sporting to a seven-wicket win over Hyderabad District.
Tavish Reddy scored 80 but Hyderabad District could manage only 156. In reply, MP Sporting made 157 for three with Patel scoring 75 and Krishna making 65.
In the B Division T20 league, H Dashrath’s unbeaten half-century set up Marredpally Blues’ 14-run win over Medak District. Dashrath made 90 in Blues’ 167 for eight. Medak were then restricted to 153 for eight despite Sridhar K’s unbeaten 75.
