Rajasthan Royals team manager, Ravinder Singh Bhinder, has been fined Rs 1 Lakh for breaching the BCCI IPL PMOA Protocols during Match 16 between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the ACA Stadium, Guwahati, on April 10, 2026, says an IPL release.

The breach relates to the use of a mobile phone in the team dugout, which is in contravention of Article 4.1.1 of the BCCI IPL PMOA Protocols.

Acknowledging the lapse, Bhinder admitted to the offence and offered an unconditional apology.

As this was his first breach under the prescribed protocols, a fine of Rs 1 Lakh has been imposed in accordance with Article 7.42(a) of the BCCI IPL PMOA Protocols. He has also been warned to exercise greater care in the future and to adhere strictly to the established guidelines.

Titans sign Esterhuizen as a replacement for Banton

Gujarat Titans (GT) have signed Connor Esterhuizen as a replacement for Tom Banton, who has been ruled out of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 owing to a finger injury.

Esterhuizen, a wicketkeeper-batter, recently made his international debut for South Africa against New Zealand in a five-match T20I series last month. He made an impressive start, winning two Player of the Match awards and was also named Player of the Series, helping his team clinch the series 3-2 after being 2-1 down.

This will be the 24-year-old’s first stint in the IPL. He will join GT at his base price of Rs 75 Lakh.
