Hyderabad’s Somnath Ghosh appointed as coach for India’s TT team for World Cup
Somnath Ghosh, Hyderabad-based table tennis coach, has been appointed as coach of the Indian team for the ITTF Men’s and Women’s World Cup being held in Macau from March 30 to April 5.
Ghosh has also been selected as the coach for the 100th ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships Finals scheduled to be held in London from April 28 to May 10, 2026.
In preparation for the World Championships, two training camps will be held. The first one will be held at the SAI Centre in Bengaluru from April 13 to 19 and the second camp will be held in Sheffield, London, from April 20 to 26.

“Happy to be the coach of Indian team for two key tournaments in which my trainee Akula Sreeja is one of the team members,” Somanth said while thanking the TTFI and Telangana State TT Association for the recognition.
